34 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | FEBRUARY 2024 | Fun & Games 20-20 Hand & Foot Canasta I hope all of you have had fun during all of our meetings - and you have made some good friends. Please continue to come to all our meetings on Tuesday 1 pm. We have gotten some new members recently and I hope they will continue to join us. I love it when we get new members! It's always fun to meet new people. So remember to keep Tuesdays open. For more information, please call Billye Hibbard, (951) 926-8880. Bunco Babes The ladies from the Bunco Babes would like to invite ladies from the Four Seasons to join us for a lively and fun game of Bunco! Our get together in December had us celebrating all the wonderful get-togethers we shared in 2023. We had a fabulous Italian luncheon before enjoying our game. A delicious cake was provided by Diane Maccarrone during our break. Kristine Chilcote was the lucky most Bunco winner! We all had a great time enjoying the afternoon with friends. Bunco is a great way to get to know some of the lovely ladies in our community, while playing a fun dice game with lots of laughs. Bunco Babes will meet on Fri., Feb. 23 in the card room at 1 pm until 3 ish and have a break with goodies halfway between games. There is limited seating (no walk-ins) so be sure to contact Lucille Gould at (909) 921-6067 to reserve your seat or notify if you can't attend. Please call by the Monday before game day to cancel. When new members call, Lucille will explain the rules and guidelines. We look forward to seeing everyone at the next Bunco on Feb. 23! Hand & Foot Calling all card players and especially Hand & Foot card players: are you a new resident and looking for an afternoon of fun? Come join us once a week. Even if you have never played the game, we can teach you quickly. Our group meets every Wednesday at 12:30 pm in the Multipurpose Room at The Lodge. There is no fee. Come as you are. Call or email to add your name to the list, although you can just show up and play. For more info, contact Lynne Arias at (951) 923-4223 or lynnearias193@gmail.com. Looking forward to meeting all new players, as well as welcoming back previous players. Double Deck Pinochle Join us Fridays, 9 am in The Lodge Multipurpose Room. Don't know how to play double deck pinochle? We will teach you. It is a lot of fun. For more information, contact Dick Tarpening (951) 766-7613. Poker Mondays and Thursdays at 12 pm in the Multipurpose Room. Come join us! Mah-Jongg Club Exercise your brain – play Mah Jongg! If you made a New Year's resolution to keep your brain active and healthy, please join the Mah Jongg Club this year. We play the official standard hands and rules of the National Mah Jongg League. We can help you learn to play by observing our games and borrowing a copy of the League's step-by-step instructional guide. We play Mondays and Thursdays from 1 to 3 pm in the Multipurpose Room. Play both days, either day, or skip a day if you are on vacation or have another commitment. We celebrate our birthdays with a monthly birthday lunch in the Bistro and get together for holidays as well. We look forward to seeing you soon, but beware – Mah Jongg is highly addictive! If you're looking for something new to try this year, why not check out Mexican Train? If you've never played the game, no problem; it's very easy to learn. If you would like to join us on a Tuesday evening and it appears that all the tables are full, no need to worry; we'll just start another table. The more the merrier! Mexican Train is a fun game played with dominoes. It's very easy to learn and it's a great way to meet new people or reconnect with someone you haven't seen in a while. We play on Tuesday evenings at 6 pm in The Lodge Multipurpose Room and would love to see more newcomers at the tables. EVERYONE IS WELCOME! It's best to show up a little early so we can be ready to start playing on time. For more information, contact Bobbie Davis at (951) 223-3836 or misserdog@outlook.com.
