Ping Pong By Lisa Schrader, 714-814-4543 Coin Club Once again, the ursday Bocce group came together on a Sunday aernoon in December to celebrate the holidays and the game with a delicious "Bocce Brunch" hosted by Vanessa Vinson and Randy McKee. About 40 people joined in the fun! Homemade dishes and adult beverages were enjoyed by all. Bocce was played throughout the brunch, with everyone cheering each other on. e conversation was great, the December weather was perfect, and a good time was had by all. ank you, Vanessa and Randy! Bocce is one of the most popular games at e Colony. e ursday aernoon group, headed up by Jeanne Bender, meets at 3 pm and plays until whenever! ere can be 12 players (sometimes more) there — and Jeanne tells me that everyone is welcome to join! It is as much a social gathering as a game. It's played year 'round, and food, drink, socializing and fun are the norm. Win or lose, it really doesn't matter! Want to join in? Again this year, the Racquet Club ladies and their friends met for a delightful Christmas potluck at the home of Sharon Boll. It is always a lovely event and one we look forward to. ank you, Sharon, for your hospitality and generosity. Phyllis Way and Carol Roth helped host the event and others also assisted, including Elf Rita Nastri, who was there to take our Toys for Tots donations. ank you, ladies. At our December dinner, the Racquet Club filled the Auditorium. Linda Kight was the hostess for this beautiful holiday dinner, and her team of helpers were Kris Smith, Gwen Ryan, Natalia Jackson, Glenn Sailor and Karen Nichols, along with all the wonderful members who helped with the cleanup. Our entertainment was fabulous, thanks to the Doo-Wops and special guest singer Antoine. John Knitter was honored for his hard work and dedication to our tennis program.
