| THE COLONY NEWS | FEBRUARY 2024 | 27 We ended our 2023 league with an enjoyable Christmas dinner on Dec. 22. Dr. P, aka Kevin Petka, joined us to play the piano and sing a few Christmas songs, and aer some jokes opened the night, we enjoyed a delicious lasagna dinner and dessert. Our trivia game was all about Christmas, and the White Elephant exchange was a great deal of fun and with only a few swaps. I want to congratulate Jay Schrowdoski, who bowled a 279, scratch! is is what it looks like on the score board: X X X / X X X X X X X X = 279. On his spare, he got 9 so literally he missed a perfect game by ONE PIN! Very good indeed. Our winter league began Jan. 4 and will run through the end of May. One of the newest pieces of equipment in our fitness center is the Power Plate. Here are examples of what it is designed to help: • treatment of different types of neuropathies; • your metabolism to work better and more quickly; • unlock some of the root causes of chronic pain; • golfers to hit a golf ball better; • improve your grip strength; • your brain to function better, any age; • increase the collagen in your joints and skin; • keep your arteries flexible and your heart healthy; • pelvic floor issues; • and it is likely the safest and easiest way to make your bones stronger at any age. If you would like instructions or more information using this machine or any other equipment in our fitness center, please contact Cindy Irving, our HOA receptionist, at 951-677-4341, or email to cindy.irving@asssocia.us, to make an appointment with me. is is a free service.
