| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MARCH 2024 | 63 Women's Golf The Sun Lakes Women's Golf Club plays 18 holes on the Championship Course every Thursday as well as one Saturday every month. We play a variety of interesting games throughout the year and this month brings us two of our favorites – the Shamrock Scramble and Leprechaun putting contest (with green golf balls, of course) and the two-week Buddy/Buddy tournament at the end of the month. Both of these give you a chance to win scrip which you can go shopping with in the Pro Shop. Our pro, Brian, keeps the shop well stocked with all the latest styles and goodies. If you haven't been in, go check it out. We invite you to come join us! We are open to all women golfers who live in Sun Lakes. Hope to see you on the course. Ladies Executive Golf Our golfers have been very busy playing as much golf as they can while the weather permits. We held a putting contest prior to our open play day and we had a good turnout. After all the competitors had an opportunity to compete, the winner was Maria Kort. This is always a fun event and we look forward to competing against our golfing friends at the next putting contest. We honored all our December, January, and February birthday ladies and look forward to honoring all the March honorees. Our club champions for 2023 were: Jane Lee, Low Gross Club Champion; Kay Dunne, A Flight Low Net Champion; Anne Wood, B Flight Low Net Champion, Leora Pursel, C Flight Low Net Champion, and Joy Chung, D Flight Low Net Champion. Congratulations on your exceptional play. We also want to congratulate Maggie Bartells for her second hole-in-one in January, the first one occurring last November. She was presented with her award at our lunch meeting last month. Great job Maggie! We invite you to come out and play a round of golf with our very fun-loving ladies.
