10 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MARCH 2024 | Name: ____________________________________________________________________________________ Address: ___________________________________________________________________________________ Phone: ____________________________________________________________________________________ FREE SUNDAY BRUNCH FOR TWO at the Bistro at Four Seasons Not valid on holidays or special events. Limit ONE ENTRY per residence per month Bring on the green — it's March, in all its glory and different shades of green. March 17, Saint Patrick's Day is on Sunday, but you could start celebrating on Saturday the 16th, and if you haven't had enough you can enjoy some more on Sunday until 3 pm. Francisco will have that delicious Irish meal of corned beef, cabbage, carrots, and potatoes for you both days. Please feel free to enjoy that, even if you aren't wearing green! Maya Angelou said, "Nothing can dim the light which shines from within." So keep those lights shining because it will be sort of dark when you start getting up an hour earlier on the 10th. You might also need that inner light to get to church an hour earlier but then you can satisfy that morning hunger at the Bistro's monthly Sunday Brunch. Palm Sunday (24th) and Easter (31st) will close out those last two Sunday of the month. I'm sure Tracie Rodgers has plans made for Easter Sunday. I can't wait to see what fun things she has planned, probably some eggs and bunnies will be involved on that day, she always has something special for the grand kids too! Francisco will have an Easter Special — Sunday Brunch with prime rib and waffles added to the menu. Please reserve, pay and choose your table ahead; that will eliminate the long wait at the door. Also, please remember –do not call at meal rush hours, the girls are too busy waiting on tables to answer the phone. Speaking of food — Linda Flohr is the lucky recipient of last month's drawing for the "Free Sunday Brunch for Two." Above is a photo of her having fun while peeking out from behind a bear at Wooley's. Scott Duncan did the honor of drawing her name at the Board meeting. Sometimes I get to wondering about things and can't leave it alone, so I ask you to think about this as well — do you know what bistro means? Asking Siri! "It is a smaller sized eatery, almost fast foods, much more casual than fine dining." To me that means, a quick snack, beverage with sweet roll/danish, and juice, like when you are traveling and the motel gives a continental breakfast. Lunch would be a limited selection of sandwiches, maybe a soup and salad, choice with bag of chips and canned or bottled soda (no refills). If open for dinner — repeat of lunch choices. Most Bistros (like ours) are not set up for even seating groups of six, eight or 10 people. But we as residents have asked for more and Francisco has delivered a menu with multiple choices for all three meals, far more than his little kitchen was designed to do. This requires the staff to work in less space than needed, but they synchronize & make it work. Do you ever wonder what Four Seasons would be like if we didn't have the Bistro and Francisco? The Bistro has gone from coffee- shop style to full restaurant, with breakfast, lunch and dinner choices because that's what residents have requested. Francisco has been here 18 years and has managed to supply food for our events in the same small kitchen meant for a simple food list. Feeding 200 people with several food choices at New Years is an amazing feat, and over 300 meals going out to the patio is no easy task, but it gets done and most of us are happy! When the ticket prices come out people forget that the price isn't just for the food; it includes many other costs like bands, entertainment, decorations, advertising, rentals (extra chairs or dance floor, linens) and DJs to name a few. Everything has gone up in cost; that's a reality, so please, don't just put the blame on the Bistro's food for the high cost of our event prices. Our Bistro is needed, wanted, and definitely an asset to our property value! Please continue to support the Bistro and all the events that include food with the ticket price. Thank you from Francisco and his faithful staff! That's me Patt, double"T" Bistro Committee
