Our April pickleball round robin tournament was another major
success. We had 24 players who had more fun than should be legal.
It's such a fabulous group of people simply coming together to enjoy
the sunshine and exercise. No one takes any of it too seriously. That's
what makes it so enjoyable. Everyone brought a little snack to share,
and there you have it — fun, food and friendship.
It looks as though they are building 17 new pickleball courts over
at Reagan Park in Temecula. That should be a hoot, I can't wait to see
how that goes. The game has taken off like a rocket with apparently
no end in sight. Perhaps one day in the not-too-distant future,
we can build a few new courts dedicated to pickleball here at The
Colony. Until then, we enjoy sharing the paddle tennis courts with
our neighbors.
If you have any interest in playing this ever-popular sport, please
don't hesitate to come down to the courts any morning. We have all
the equipment necessary and plenty of good folks who are eager to
help. We hope to see you soon and as always, there are no reservations
required. Just head to the courts and join in the festivities.
