FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2024 7 The Banning Pointe Warehouse court hearing was heard on March 13 at the Riverside Superior Court in front of Judge Hopp. The Pass Action Group (PAG) received the judge's ruling late March 15. PAG won the bias claim against Councilwoman Mary Hamlin. A Writ of Mandate will be drafted by the attorneys representing both sides of the issue instructing the City of Banning to rehear arguments for approval. The original approval has been nullified. This process could take up to 60 days to draft the Writ for the court. This is assuming that the developers want to continue with the project. PAG will begin lobbying the City of Banning leadership as well as determine if an appeal is warranted on the issues PAG did not prevail on at the March 13 hearing. Those issues were the CEQA issues, General Plan and the Specific Plan issues. The Beaumont Pointe Warehouse was on the agenda for the City Council in Beaumont's meeting on March 19. The decision on the warehouse was delayed by the City Council so the council members could have some questions answered that were covered by the Planning Commission. The information contained in those reports detailing the developer tasks required for the project is not available at this time. As new information is available, it will be covered in the Daily Report, the Breeze and our website. ~ Jerry Monahan, Board President Read the Breeze monthly for updates BEAUMONT POINTE & BANNING WAREHOUSE UPDATE
