FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2024 27 Facilities Committee As I am writing this article at the end of March, the rain and high winds remind us that Beaumont has distinct seasons. But, when the Breeze arrives in your mailbox in May, the warmer weather will settle into our community, bringing comfortable temperatures and the outdoor activities we enjoy. At our March meeting, the Facilities Committee submitted two proposals to the Board of Directors. The first proposal was for the replacement of lounge chairs at The Summit. These chairs are utilized in the Game Room for card playing and as a seating area. The Board approved the replacement of the chairs using the same type of seating that is in The Lodge Game Room. Each chair is $440.04 for a total cost of $5,995.48. This is a reserve item. The second proposal was wrought iron fence painting for phases A, B, and C. This is a cyclical repainting to maintain and preserve the functionality and appearance of the fences. The total cost of this project is $144,000; this is a reserve item. In the spotlight this month is Facilities Committee member Greg Gall (inset). Greg has been a fantastic volunteer and has been with the committee for nearly two years. He signed up to volunteer because he wanted to lend a hand wherever needed. Before retiring, Greg worked for the Western Science Center in Hemet as the museum facilities supervisor. Before this, Greg spent 25 years in the printed circuit industry, where his roles included technician, maintenance supervisor, facilities manager, and plant manager. Greg and his wife Gloria moved to Four Seasons Beaumont from La Quinta because they wanted a change from the desert heat. They knew they'd found a home when they discovered our lovely community. Greg and Gloria enjoy traveling, playing golf, tennis, and billiards. They love spending time with their wonderful family, which includes two daughters, two sons-in-law, five young grandchildren, and their extended family. We are grateful to have Greg as a Facilities Committee member. Thank you for going the extra mile and making a difference! The Facilities Committee meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 9 am in the RCN Conference Room. The meetings are open to all homeowners.
