Advice From A Garden: Cultivate lasting friendships. Sow seeds
of kindness. Listen to sage advice. Don't let the little things bug you.
Be outstanding in your field. Take thyme for yourself.
Sage advice to be sure, and words of wisdom which leave a
calming spirit basking in the afterglow of tranquility. We could all
learn from those simple pleasures we find in nature, with order and
transformation creating seamless change.
Not much occurred in May within our Club, except for our
continued planning of Fairy Gardens, and all things whimsical.
Mary Swinney started us off in March by sharing her creative spirit.
Followed by a workshop in May, many of us created little villages
and succulent gardens within containers, while others transformed
corners of their gardens into Angel Wonderlands. Look for pictures
to follow as we learn from each other.
June's meeting will again be held in the Arts & Crafts Room on
Mon., June 10 at 1 pm. Continued discussions for spring excursions,
and planting herb/vegetable gardens will be the highlights.
All residents are welcome to attend meetings and trips. Sharing
gardening tips, traveling together, learning from each other, and
cultivating forever friendships are the blooms growing in our
gardens. Late Bloomers meets every second Monday of the month
at 1 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room, unless we meet off-site for unique
excursions.
