Illustrating our new club project on the Quilty Barn Block from
Lori Holt's book, Farm Girl Vintage, these photos begin to tell
the taleā¦ First, our works in progress are created by inviting
workspaces. Whether choosing exciting colors for the next block,
cutting each individual pattern piece, or beginning the sewing, we
all enjoy sharing and the interaction of working together.
Each quilt begins with the club member's choice of whimsical
farm pieces. Choosing from barn styles, farm animals, homemade
confections and farmhouses, each creative theme is as diverse as we
are. Also pictured above is a cute little farmhouse, chosen by Sharon
Deuber as the main theme for her quilt. Pat Spurgeon's quilt is very
near completion in the traditional 'Quilty Barn' theme.
Wanna get in on the farm action? It's not too late to join this fun
project and we'd love to have you! Our time together every Thursday
goes by so quickly that it seems we no sooner get set up when it's
time to pack it all up, anticipating our next week together.
Seasons Quilters meets EVERY Thursday, (except the fourth
Thursday) in the Arts & Crafts Room from 10 am to 4 pm breaking
for lunch at the Bistro at 12:30. June meetings will be on the 6th, 13th
and 20th.
