We traveled to Greenville, Texas, to see the total eclipse of the sun in April. Mother Nature
provided cloud cover and sprinkles throughout the event. It was mostly clear during

On April 20, my son Chris and I volunteered
for a Deka Fit race at the Anaheim
Convention Center. For our volunteer shi,
we worked at the finish line handing out
medals to the sweaty and tired athletes. Aer
our volunteer shi, we teamed up to race in
the co-ed age group race. e age group was
determined by combining the ages of the two
athletes on the team. With our ages of 80 and
54, we fell into the 120 years old and over age
group. e race consisted of a 5K (3.1 miles)
broken into 10 equal segments with a zone
aer each segment. Each zone consisted of
a different challenge exercise (listed below).
To my surprise, we came in third place for
our age group! ank you to Lily for her
beginning conditioning classes and George
for his advanced conditioning and kickboxing
classes, but most of all, to my son Chris.
