44 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2024 The April Barn Burner was a lot of fun and included a Carlton dance competition which was won by Laura Ramirez. We also did some Wii bowling for dollars that people seemed to really enjoy. A Barn Burner is a party that we have to celebrate and dance all of the dances we learned in class. We are having so much fun every week and people are growing in the ability to dance more advanced dances. I am so proud of everyone and the efforts they are putting into this class. It's a perfect combination of new friendships being made and we are staying in great physical and mental shape. Class is held in the Ballroom every Monday starting at 1 pm and on Wednesday evening starting at 6:30 pm. If you want to be part of something special, come out and try something new and make a new friend. ~ Janine Rohrbacker Step It Up Line Dance Another month has come and gone and summer is here. This is a good time to enjoy the dances and concerts our enthusiastic band of hoofers has been diligently practicing with the goal of being confident and comfortable in public dance settings. If you ever wanted to be that person or couple capable of getting on the dance floor as you take a summer cruise, now would be a good time to come out on Monday nights to The Lodge Ballroom to learn a new dance or enhance your previously acquired dancing skills. We meet every Monday from 6 to 8 pm in The Lodge Ballroom guided by our very capable professional instructor, Cindy Finley. Her patience and encouragement have helped people like me, who never thought they could learn multiple types of dances, become proficient and confident. Cindy teaches all different levels and abilities. Our first half hour each week is for practice and socializing. After that, we get into the nuts and bolts of the dance we are learning for that month. Some of the previous types of dances we have explored are Country Western, Latin, and Swing. We truly enjoy our time together and look forward to seeing our friends and acquaintances every week! We always support each other with enthusiasm and big smiles. We hope to see you soon. The month of April highlighted one hit wonders and the month of May highlighted 70s rock songs. June will focus on Country so come out and enjoy the free show. Karaoke is held every first Tuesday and third Saturday of each month and starts at 5:30 pm. We have a lot of people who just come out and have a drink and watch their friends and neighbors sing. Come see for yourself. ~ Dave Rohrbacker, Dave. Rohrbacker@icloud.com Karaoke Dottie showing how to get it done with her first time singing karaoke proving you are never too old to try something new!
