As part of the planning discussions, we are evaluating how to make it easy for visitors to find their tile. In addition to the name and branch of service, each tile would be coded E (east) or W (west) and numbered from the south side to the north. The date of the application for a tile would be used to number the slides. We also are evaluating the layout of the tiles only be on three sides, leaving the north side alone. This would remove the requirement to move the rock creek. Expansion of the tiles would be east and west. The columns would be eight tiles. The length of the eight 4" tiles would be 32 inches. The tile platform would be 12" above the ground. Veterans are encouraged to attend our planning sessions the fourth Thursday of each month in the Game Room. ~ Len Tavernetti, ltavernetti@hotmail.com Bunco was the name of the game at our Crown Divas April event. We greeted one another with our usual salutations, hugs, and smiles. Waiting for us was a buffet fit for royalty. There were croissant sandwiches with assorted meats, salads, cheese and cracker trays, fruit bowls, chips and dips. Let us not forget dessert … a vanilla cake with white frosting and custard filling. Yes, it was delicious. It was indeed a feast. We had a short meeting before the games began. Many Divas are very good at playing Bunco. It's a game of chance so while playing you will hear much laughter and chatter. There can be more than one winner at the end and that means more prizes. We all cheered for the winners and cheered, for let's say, the non-winners. Camaraderie, fun entertainment, and just spending time together defines the Crown Divas. ~ Irma Romero, (626) 733-3019, Irmabsromero@gmail.com 48 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2024 Crown Divas Four Seasons FS Veterans Park Garden Club Garden Club and Travel Club enjoyed a lovely day at the UCR Botanical Gardens followed by a delicious lunch.
