Our claim against Candyl's bond is held in abeyance pending the findings of the CSLB. An advisory group has been formed to evaluate whether the City of Oceanside's agreement with SiFi Networks to install fiber- optic cable citywide represents an opportunity that the Association should pursue. It is our good fortune to have several residents with expertise in this area to serve on the group. We will place this topic back on the Board Agenda when it is more ripe for consideration. e Board held its Regular Monthly Meeting on April 18 and took the following actions: • Approved the Minutes of the meeting of March 21. • Approved the Financial Consent Calendar consisting of the report of the Executive Finance Committee meeting of March 25, the February 2024 Financial Report and the funds transfers exceeding $10,000. • Reviewed the recommendations of the AV Committee regarding lanai equipment and authorized construction wiring and other schedule-sensitive acquisitions not to exceed $15,000. • Received a presentation from homeowner Donald Russell regarding City of Oceanside initiatives for city-wide installation of fiber-optic cable. • Noted the exploratory proposal by the Carlsbad Water Department to construct a solar farm on the property southeast of OHCC. • An executive session meeting of the Board was held on Monday, May 13th and the following transpired: • Approved the Minutes of the executive session on April 15. • Reviewed citations to three homeowners for failure to stop at a STOP sign and levied three fines. • Approved a homeowner request to reverse an NSF check charge. • Reviewed the status of network upgrade projects. • Reviewed recent issues with the Emergency Monitoring System. • Reviewed status of the lanai construction. • Approved a contract proposal for shuttle services to SD Limo. • Approved a proposal from O'Connell Landscape Maintenance to renovate the flag court upon completion of construction in an amount not to exceed $17,637. • Reviewed the status of the Delos crib wall. • Reviewed a tentative proposal to repair and upgrade the entry/ exit system. • Reviewed tentative bids for new lanai tables and chairs. • Reviewed a report on lighting issues and failures in Abravanel Hall. ank you for your interest in the affairs of your Association, and please continue to enjoy the celebration of our 40th Anniversary!
