QUILTERS
We're always learning new quilt techniques. Recently, we gathered
around Sue Diamond and her sewing machine "JJ" (yes, we name
our machines) as she demonstrated her technique of adding binding
to a quilt. Binding is the fabric that we sew around the edges of
the finished quilt to help protect against wear and give it that final
touch. There are a few ways to add this binding, and we all have our
favorites. Sue showed us her favorite way. We all found it very helpful
with clear instructions, and were happy to learn another technique.
Upcoming meetings will feature other members demonstrating their
particular skills for the benefit of us all. We welcome new quilters
and experienced ones as well. Join us on Mondays at 12 pm in the
Arts & Crafts Room.
