| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JULY 2024 | 17 June Kindness Award: Our June Kindness Award was presented to Bonnie Masucci, for profound kindness to a fellow resident and his beloved dogs. Bonnie noticed he was having challenges managing his three dogs – she stepped in and is now assisting with walks, baths and even training! Annual Health Fair – May 16: Team Sunshine was proud to sponsor this FREE Health & Senior Resource Fair and Barbecue. We are so fortunate to enjoy this community time together in our ongoing quest to stay informed and healthy! 90th Birthday Party: This year's 90+ Birthday Party held on June 18 featured our very own Jazz group, plus adorable puppy dogs, and of course cake, ice cream and goody bags! Stay tuned for photos featured in August! Celebration of Life: Team Sunshine assisted with a lovely celebration of life for Karen Stevens on May 30. Sunshine provided cookies to Anne Balenseifer's family who held a mass for her in Hemet on June 12. Sunshine has been notified of the following passings: Jean Farr, Wilfredo Segui, Bill Burger, Deanna Marshall and Stephen Andersen. We have reached out to these families to extend our condolences and offer our assistance if needed in planning a celebration of life. Team Sunshine Caregiver Support Meetings: Meetings will begin again Aug. 7. The group meets the first Wednesday of the month at 10:30 am at Suzanne and George McGowan's home (7747 Dutra Drive) and is facilitated by Chaplain Mark Ruybalid from VNAcare. Newcomers Team: Our Sunshine Newcomers Team recently made the rounds and visited 10 new resident homes! e Caring Connection: We have amazing members of our Card and Telephone teams. If you have a Four Seasons friend or neighbor who is struggling with illness, loss or needs a bit of cheer, please notify us so we may send them a card and follow with a phone call. For those wishing prayer, a request box is provided in the Multipurpose Room for your convenience. Prayer cards are provided. Residents are invited to join us at our Team Sunshine meetings (first Monday of the month, 10:30 am in the Ballroom).
