| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JULY 2024 | 27 Book Club All readers interested in great discussions, occasional guest speakers, and movies, join us the third Monday of every month at 2 pm. Our book for July is So Late In e Day by Claire Keegan. We meet at my house 669 Weir Drive. Hope to see all of you. Any questions, contact Vicki Allen-Hitt at (951) 926-6336 or email vhitt@hotmail.com. The Club's next golf cart parade will be on the Fourth of July! Check your email and lookout for blasts info, and maps from Tracie Rodgers. Decorate those golf carts in Americana motif and kick off your Fourth with a trip around your community. There will be refreshments and donuts during the social hour (8:30 am in the roundabout in front of The Lodge). The parade will start at 9 am and lasts about 40 minutes. Flag Angels: The next four weeks will have been a busy time of the year for the Angels; flags will have gone up for Flag Day (Fri., June 14 on just World Cup and Four Seasons), for Juneteenth, (Wed., June 19 throughout the entire community), and for the Fourth (Thurs., July 4 throughout the entire community). Some 3,600 flags will have been up and down over those three days. For the past few months, I have been highlighting the individuals who provide this very popular community program. This month, Tom (Tommy Typewriter) and Bonnie Moore are the spotlighted Angels. They have been placing flags for over 10 years. Tom and Bonnie have been very active in the Four Seasons Golf Club (as a multi-term president and a multi-term Social Committee Chair). They have been residents of Four Seasons since January 2005 and moved here from La Mesa, California. Their route covers Invitational #4 Area (north of hole number 10). If you know or recognize these Angels, give them a well-deserved "thank you" the next time you see them. It would be great if anyone is interested in volunteering to be an Angel or a substitute Angel (they fill in on occasion when an Angel cannot post flags (sick, vacations, etc.). We have lost a few due to health reasons and I could use a volunteer for the Championship I route. If you would be willing to help, please call me at (951) 973- 4149, or email me at mikemcla43@aol.com. ~ Mike McLaughlin, coordinator, Hemet Four Seasons Golf Cart Club/Flag Angels Golf Cart Club
