8 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | AUGUST 2024 | Somewhere Over e Rainbow… It's fortunate we don't have to think about painting our homes for many years. With 1,106 homes in our community, most applications the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) receives are for painting. As a new homeowner, you may not like your paint colors. Hopefully, you learned from your Realtor that any change requires an application to the ARC before work is started. If you're a long-timer, you know the importance of home maintenance, addressing peeling or faded paint. Maybe you just want a different color. Either way, any change requires an application. Completing a simple application, available from Maria Donti, (951) 325-8188 or maria.donti@fsresidential.com, may require difficult decisions. Maria has helped hundreds of homeowners with their decisions about paint colors for years. Maybe you want to think about new paint colors. Don't waste your time going to Lowes or Home Depot looking at hundreds of paint colors. The Board has approved 14 color schemes that are available for you to choose from. Maria can help. Perhaps you just want to use the current colors and don't know what to put on the application. Maria can tell you what they are and show you the paint chips for the approved color schemes. You may have a painter who has his/her own ideas about what the existing paint colors are. Some vendors who work here know that there is an application process and approved color schemes. Others may not. It is important that they and you know what the color choices are. Maria can help. Maria will review your application for completeness and discuss with you any changes that may be necessary to make it complete. She will then review the application package that includes your application, pictures of your home, and a paint scheme catalog section with your selected colors, detailing what part of the house will be painted and in which color. The ARC reviews these applications on the first and third Mondays of the month. ARC submissions are due the Wednesday before each meeting. The five ARC members, your fellow residents, have years of experience reviewing applications. They ensure that the application meets the Painting Standards. They may have concerns and recommendations that would be helpful. You will be promptly notified by Maria of the ARC's action on your application, in writing. If approved, you may proceed with the work. It is very important that your painter adheres exactly to what has been approved. Any desired changes would require an Exhibit D application to be submitted for ARC approval, before proceeding. Somewhere over the rainbow, there are the right colors for you… with approval. Brief Overview Of Our Committee Responsibilities Our committee, along with the guidance of the Board of Directors, has established basic requirements and the operation of duties for our security staff, through the establishment of Post Orders developed by our committee. These Post Orders have been integrated with the Post Orders of Securitas Security to achieve the standards that our community requires of a security firm. Our committee currently meets on the second Wednesday, meeting once a quarter, but due to important matters, we have been meeting every month recently. At our meetings, Securitas Post Commander Sean Hockenberry and District Manager, Esvin Lopez, present a briefing of events and security issues that occurred during the past month. Those issues or incidents consists of reports such as, unauthorized persons on property, welfare checks, parking problems, open garage doors at night, speeding, and more. Access Committee is proposing to the Board that we install two stop signs with crosswalk markings at Four Seasons at Eagle and Four Seasons at Trevino. Also recommended was Radius curve striping and stop sign lane separations on some streets in the Invitational area, along with future asphalt projects in the East and West Legends areas. At this time, there is no consideration for any other speed humps/ bumps within our community. Our committee has been monitoring the speed on several streets collecting speed data, and will continue to do so to help keep Four Seasons a safe community. Our ACC committee welcomes any homeowner who wishes to attend one of our meetings. Please contact The Lodge if you plan on attending. Our next meeting will be held Aug. 14.
