| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | AUGUST 2024 | 31 Tai Chi You are invited to join a wonderful group of folks on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in the Ballroom from 9:10 to 10 am for Tai Chi. There is no experience necessary and chairs available as needed. The Harvard Health Medical School reports, "This gentle exercise can help maintain strength, flexibility and balance, and could be the perfect activity for the rest of your life." There is no charge for the group, and you can come whenever you are available. We follow two videos and then do a set of movements to music. For more information, join us or call Steve or Peggy Cooper at (951) 599-0123. Horseshoes Bingo Shuffleboard Join us every Wednesday night at Bingo. For only $7, you can enjoy three hours of fun and games with friends and neighbors. Doors open at 5 pm for residents and 5:15 for outside guests. Shuffleboard sign-ups are finally here so brush off your sticks and join us for the 2024 season. The dates are Aug. 8 at 1 pm in the Ballroom and the $10 fee per player will remain the same payable at sign-ups. Cash please. We will begin the season on Sept. 12 and run for 10 to 12 weeks depending on how many teams sign up. We will have 9 am and 10 am squads, an 11 am if necessary. Never played before? No worries; it's an easy game to learn and we can show you how. If you need a partner, we will do our best to help you find one. We play for FUN and a nice way to meet old friends and make new ones. Looking forward to seeing all of you. REMINDER: You can always consider joining a few of us who play on most Mondays and Fridays at 8:30 am (summer schedule). You can always stop by The Lodge desk and they will set you up. Never walk on the courts after the beads have been applied. They are extremely slippery. There is a horseshoe league that plays on Wednesday mornings at 8 am at different locations around Hemet. We practice Saturdays at 8 am. This fun and friendly club plays single and double formats every Wednesday morning at 8 am in summer, 9 am in winter, and twice a month in the evening at 5 pm. Normal play times are usually an hour or less. Come by and take a look on Wednesdays at the Plaza behind The Lodge.
