| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | AUGUST 2024 | 3 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA Contractors: We've all seen the guys looking for work at the local hardware stores and most of them would probably do a good job working on your home. The downside to having someone that is not licensed or insured doing work on your property must be seriously considered. Check your homeowner's insurance policy to see if you have coverage for unlicensed persons working on your property and that you have coverage if they injure themselves. Are they insured for the type of work they are doing? For example, is a painter doing roof repairs? Do they have references? Also, reviews on Yelp and other sites may provide you with information in searching for a service provider. Your neighbors are also another source. My goal in all of this is to alert you to be sure you know who you are letting into your home and when practical, hire a licensed/insured service provider. There are unscrupulous people out there taking advantage of seniors so please be aware. Pool season is almost over for our school-aged guests, so please be aware of them as they get to enjoy the pool with grandma and grandpa before school starts. Let them have fun and if they get too wild, please let the front desk know. Let us be the pool monitor! Staff Anniversaries: I'm very happy to announce several anniversaries this month. Maria Donti is celebrating eight years with our company, serving this community in several roles. One important role she has is the liaison to the Architectural Review Committee. She plays a vital role in supporting the ARC Committee and she also has the responsibility of enforcing the ARC Standards and Rules & Regulations on behalf of the Board of Directors. Maria is also liaison to the Landscape Committee and provides invaluable assistance to them. The community continues to benefit by Maria's work ethic, professionalism, and institutional knowledge. Tracie Long, an important member of our front desk staff, is celebrating nine years of service to the community and we are again, grateful to have her serving the residents. Both of these ladies are excellent examples of our company's core values. Thank you, Maria and Tracie! It's hard for me to believe I'll be celebrating my 25th and final year of managing homeowner associations. The key to my longevity in the HOA management business is being blessed to be a part of one of the best management companies in the nation. I receive continuous training, education, support and encouragement from a great upper management team. I also couldn't do it without the support from my Assistant General Manager, Mari Salazar, who is the glue holding this together! During my 16+ years as your General Manager, I've been very fortunate to work alongside a dedicated and passionate management team and hundreds of committee volunteers. And last but not least, I want to acknowledge and thank the Board of Directors for their continued trust, support and encouragement. This community would not be what it is today if it wasn't for the support and efforts of the above individuals. Happy August, and keep being a good neighbor!
