And the sky is filled with butterflies! Everywhere we walk these
days, there are Monarchs, Sulphurs, Swallowtails, Mourning
Cloaks, Cabbage Whites, and others. at is true not only of the
Sanctuary in the Butterfly Park, but in backyards and common
areas all over the village. It has been, aer a slow start, a banner
year for our mission, and it is not over yet.
Preparations for the Butterfly Ball on Fri., Sept. 20 have been in
high gear for many weeks, with the big night getting close. We are
thrilled and grateful for all those who have signed up to attend, as
well as the donors who make our auctions – silent and live – so
much fun.
is event is extremely important to our project because it is
our main source of revenue for purchasing milkweed and nectar
plants, soil, and irrigation for the coming year. Our ability to
continue to expand the butterfly habitat within OHCC depends
on the Ball's success. If you are interested in joining us for this
fun-filled evening, do not wait any longer! ere are only a few
