Our highly qualified Instructors are Cheryl Todd, Monday and Wednesday, Tatis Cervantes-Aiken on Tuesday, and Jennie MacGoy on Friday. ese classes are low-impact exercise, including balance and coordination, flexibility, range of motion, stretching and strengthening. Chair Yoga Class: e Chair Yoga exercise class meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm in the Abravenel Hall, and sometimes in the new Lanai to enjoy the beautiful weather outside. You spend 45 minutes sitting in the chair, and then 15 minutes or so behind the chair, so you practice balance. e cost is only $5 per class attended aer joining the Club for only $5 for the entire year. e first class is FREE, so you can try a class yourself first, and see if it is a good fit for you. Chair-To-Mat Yoga Class: e Chair-to-Mat exercise class meets each Tuesday from 8 to 9 am. You are 30 minutes in the chair and 30 minutes on the mat. You must provide your own mat. is instructor, Tatis, is a resident of Ocean Hills and does not charge for this class, but you must join the Senior Fitness Club to participate for only $5 a year. is class meets in the Lamia Room. Written by Carol Farrell Senior Fitness Club Bocce Club Casino Night Party celebrates the Great Gatsby Back by very popular demand, the 20s themed party will happen on Sept. 14. In addition to blackjack, craps and roulette, there will be a Costume Contest and Charleston Dance Contest with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes for Couples, Men and Ladies. Get into your dancing shoes for the Charleston Lessons before the Contest. Tickets on sale through Sept. 4. Don't miss what our guests have called the most fun party of the year. See the poster in the Clubhouse for all the details. You must be a Bocce Club Member to attend the party (club dues subsidize the ticket price). Dues are $12 per person and provide membership through December 2025. e Harvey Wallbanker Bocce Tournament is scheduled for Oct. 8 through 10. is bank shots only tournament is fun and a great skill builder for your game.
