demonstrated making empanadas
and chimichurri sauce. Martin
is originally from Argentina
and shared information about
his home country. Martin also
provided his delicious empanadas
and chimichurri sauce for all
attendees.
As always, we couldn't put on
these events without the help
and support of our amazing club

will include a hula contest and
photo booth. This is a catered
event and cost per person is

BON APPETIT CLUB
EMPANADAS DE CARNE by Martin Grahl
Main Ingredients
Directions
1. In a pot, add 1 tablespoon oil and 1 tablespoon butter, add
onions and tomatoes and let cook a bit.
2. Add green onions and cook well all together and then add
the ground beef until the meat changes color.
3. Add salt, cumin, paprika, and black pepper to your taste.
Finally, add olives, raisins, eggs, and morrones (bell
peppers).
4. Let cool down in the fridge until the next day.
5. Use Mazola oil to fry the empanadas - working in batches,
fry one to two empanadas at a time in hot oil until browned,
about 2 ½ minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
Chimichurri Dipping Sauce
In a blender add the following to your particular tastes:
• Garlic
• Parsley
• Oregano
• Paprika
• Red wine vinegar
• Olive oil
