FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2024 45 Hello line dancers, we've made it through another month. Turnout has been good, many are still in vacation mode, but wherever you are, I hope you have been dancing. Beginner's Basic has mastered about 12 popular line dance steps that can be found in any line dance. Recognizing the step without it being called is the goal, expecting "progress, not perfection." Class schedule: Tuesdays: 1:45 – 2:15 pm – Beginner's Basic; 2:15 – 3:45 pm – Regular class Wednesdays: 3:30 – 4:30 pm – Regular class; 4:30 – 5:15 pm – Upper Level Looking Ahead: No class Sept. 2 - Sept. 6. Quarterly Birthday Potluck, Wednesday, Sept. 18. Dance in Costume, Wednesday, Oct. 30 Evening of Music & Dance, Saturday, Nov. 23. Holiday Celebration, Wednesday, Dec. 18. See you on the dance f loor! ~ Priscilla Robles, (909) 239-6464 Heart & Soul Line Dance It's hard to believe that the last concert of the 2024 season is here — on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 7 pm. We saved some outstanding boot- tapping country music with the Silverados for this concert. The Silverados are southern California's premier country/rock cover band chosen to open for Tim McGraw and Montgomery Gentry. This seven-piece band has been rocking country music since 1992. Classic and current country inf luences from Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash to Carrie Underwood and Tim McGraw shape the Silverados playlist. The band mixes in some classic rock hits from groups like the Beatles, Eagles, and the Doobie Brothers to make for a fun night. Grab your cowboy hats and chaps and saddle up with your friends and neighbors and mosey on down to the amphitheater ranch for an evening of fun. Remember that you can set up your chairs on Saturday, Sept. 21 after 6 pm. Please no blankets as placeholders. Hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks, and treats will be available for purchase. Glass bottles need to be covered for safety. Hope to see ya'll down at the musical corral for a great evening of fun with all our neighbors! ~ Mark Lassen Amphitheater Summer is just about over and we can get back to normal after everyone's back from vacations. We have learned many new dances in the last few months from basic beginner to improver and it's been so fun watching the newer dancers learn them. I'm looking forward to the new classes on Sept. 9. Classes are held on Mondays from 1 to 3 pm and I repeat the same curriculum on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. We have a lot of fun and have built some really great friendships. We're like a family that cares about each other but at the same time we tease and joke with each other. If you're ready to learn some new dancing skills and have always wanted to try line dancing then come out and join in the fun. Come out on Sept. 9 or Wednesday, Sept. 11 so you can learn a few dances such as Billie Jean, Cupid Shuffle, and the electric slide before the holiday parties. Bring your water, shoes that slide on the floor, and your fun attitude and get some exercise. Dancing is great for our brains and keeps us young.
