Hope everyone had a chance to visit our photo show at The Lodge.
Sixteen members participated showing their talent through a variety
of subjects and photo styles and techniques. It was a pleasure sharing
our art with our community.
There are benefits of being a photo club member. Some are meeting
others who enjoy the same artistic medium, improving photographic
skills by sharing knowledge and information, and introducing new
places to photograph.
During our in-person meetings we discuss different photographic
styles along with other topics related to creating a great photograph.
In September we covered minimalist photography, the art of less is
more. We also reviewed high key and low key—using over and under
exposures to create moods—often used in minimalist photographs.
We meet in the RCN Main Room the first Thursday of each month,
6:30 to 8:30 pm. Each meeting includes a main topic, review of
photos, and general discussion about photography. All skill levels
of photographers are welcome. If you use a cell phone, please join
us. Many photo and editing techniques can be incorporated into cell
phone photography.
