10 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | OCTOBER 2024 | Name: ____________________________________________________________________________________ Address:___________________________________________________________________________________ Phone: ____________________________________________________________________________________ FREE SUNDAY BRUNCH FOR TWO AT THE BISTRO Not valid on holidays or special events. Limit ONE ENTRY per residence per month I hope you all have your Oct. 26 tickets for the Halloween spectacular that the Social Committee has been putting together, the food may have spooky names but it will be delicious, and a scary, fun night! It's always fun dressing up and really getting into the mood. I was invited to a party two years ago, the hosts requested all guests arrive in costume, so I decided to go all out. Unsuccessful at nding something in costume shops, I went into DIY mode. I covered my backside with a long t-shirt of a perfect body in a bikini, while the front looked much like this picture that was taken in the process of getting dressed. I could only see out of one eye and the rest of my body was covered in gauze and ugly. I spoke to no one, just stood around, nobody could guess who I was because I didn't answer when they asked questions for clues. Aer one hour, I realized I wasn't having fun and hosts were ready to call security to have me removed. So, I unmasked myself and joined my very cutely costumed girlfriends and enjoyed the rest of the evening. erefore proving that ugly costumes are not always winners! October Bistro events besides the above mentioned Halloween party are our Spectacular Sunday Brunch on the 13th, and our monthly Friday night Buet on the 25th. Watch for other daily specials online during the month! Bob Stone (at right) won the lucky draw for the "Free Brunch for Two" donated by Francisco and his Bistro. e ticket was drawn by Roberta Fiegenbaum at the BOD meeting. As I sit here typing my closing words, I realized I hear a strange rumbling sound. Looking out the window, I see the sky has darkened with angry clouds or smoke. My rst thought was "FIRE,"but as I open the front door, I hear LOUD glorious thunder. It doesn't happen oen in Hemet but it brings back happy memories for a Minnesota kid, counting the time between the thunder until the lightning crashed and bounced on the waves of the lake. I wish, but doubt we will get any rain with this thunder lled sky, but hopefully the dry mountain areas will be blessed. at's me, Patt double "T" Bistro Committee
