We are currently searching for three volunteers to take over the
roles of President, Vice President and Director of the Travel Club.
The current Board members will assist the incoming officers in
their transition to leading the club and organizing trips. If we do not
find any volunteers, then sadly, we will dissolve the Travel Club. So
please consider stepping up to save our beloved club. Contact Judy
Buoniconti (sunshinejfb@hotmail.com) if you are interested.
Here are our upcoming events:
Oct. 28 – We will have a general meeting with elections and a
presentation by Dee Wardell and Joe Ashby on their recent trip to
Indonesia.
The election process is as follows: Nominations will be accepted
prior to the General Meeting on Oct. 21. Then nominations from the
floor will be accepted at our General Meeting on Oct. 28. The Slate
of Officers for 2025 will be presented and voted upon. If we have no
volunteers for the key positions of President and Vice President, we
will dissolve the Travel Club in early 2025.
Nov. 14 – San Diego by Land and Sea. First, we will have a
100-minute, fully-narrated tour aboard a Hydra-Terra winding our
way through the streets of San Diego by the Harbor before a cruise
of the Bay. After lunch, we'll board our private Old Town Trolley for a
two-hour guided tour of San Diego.
Dec. 17 – Dinner and a night of touring four incredible
neighborhoods around San Diego featuring outstanding holiday
lights and other decorations. This is sold out.
Frequently people on a trip need to cancel. Many people on our
wait lists actually have had the opportunity to go on our trips.
To be placed on the waitlist or to register for any of our trips, leave
a check made out to the OH Travel Club, in the Travel Club envelope at
the Clubhouse front desk. Add $5 to the price if you are not a member
of the Club. You will receive an email confirming your registration.
