12 | THE COLONY NEWS | OCTOBER 2024 | ACCESS CONTROL & SAFETY IGATE PHONE APP TRAINING Security Statistics: For August, there were a total of 22,902 gate entries recorded consisting of guests, recreational vehicles, vendors, and golfers. Allied Security performed 15 property and/ or residence checks and issued 28 citations for stop sign violations and 13 speeding citations. There were 37 medical, fire, and police incidents. Allied cited 79 residents for various resident parking violations and guest/vendor violations. 44 residents were cited for putting trash cans out too early and/or not putting them away. 39 garage doors were found to be open and Allied made calls to each resident to advise them to close their garage doors. Allied Security responded to 105 miscellaneous incidents related to deceased residents, dogs (barking, lost, off leash), signage (not allowed), solicitors, disorderly conduct, gate strikes/tailgaters, suspicious activity, welfare checks, broken/burst water lines. We are always looking for ways to improve the entry experience here at The Colony for you, your guests, and your vendors. Recently, reducing congestion at the Jackson Gate has been deemed a priority by the Board of Directors. One excellent way of doing this is to utilize the iGate system as a means of pre-registering a guest or vendor prior to the time they will be visiting you. The problem is that many of our residents are not yet registered, or are not utilizing, the iGate system by way of the phone application. To increase the number of users, or refresh current users, the Board has asked that we conduct a refresher course for all residents. We will focus on helping you get the most out of the iGate system by using the phone application. On Friday, Oct. 11, a Phone App training course will be held in the Auditorium from 1 to 4 pm. Registration is required. You can register through the e-blast that you will receive on your computer beginning October 1. If you do not have a computer, you can register by calling the HOA office, 951-677-4341, and ask for either Elizabeth or Colleen. We encourage you to participate! The use of this system is an essential tool for managing and monitoring your guests and/or vendors. By using the iGate system the process of entry by your guests and/or visitors ensures a smooth and properly controlled entry. **Reminder: This training session is only for the use of the iGate system by way of your phone.**
