| LIFE IN SOLERA | NOVEMBER 2024 | 45
Tennis players and other groups at Solera Oak Valley Greens
include many wonderful people. We not only exercise and have
fun together, but we try to socialize and celebrate each other.
Some of the tennis ladies also get together each quarter to
celebrate each other's birthdays. In June and September, we went
to Oak Glen Steakhouse. ey always treat us well, and give us a
private area where we can catch up on everything that is going on
in our lives.
Each December, Beverly Crowe has a holiday party at her home.
We each bring our favorite dish and a gi to exchange. We draw
numbers and take turns opening a gi or taking something from
someone who already opened a gi.
Living in Solera and playing tennis is a bonus as are the
friendships we have made. ~ Shirley Ferguson

New Year, New You. Please join us starting Fri., Jan. 10 at 9 am
Our study in the group will explore the Asanas (yoga poses),
Restorative and Nidra yoga, breathing, chakra balancing,
meditation, achieving harmony and healthy eating. And
possibly other topics of interest to the group.
Multiple studies show that yoga practice can have positive
eects on cellular aging, mobility, balance, mental health, and
prevention of cognitive decline-all areas of concern for older
adults.
e group is all inclusive and will adapt for those who haven't
tried yoga to those experienced yogis. You are all welcome.
