| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2024 | 3 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA So far this year, over 35 new residents moved in this year. For those of you who are new, and have questions about the community or the goings on, there are several resources available to you. This news magazine that you're reading right now is one of them. Other informational sources are the association's website and of course, the management office. In addition, if you want to view any documents such as the Board meeting minutes, financials or the rules and regulations, you can find them on the Four Seasons Hemet website. https://fourseasonshemet.connectresident.com You can also contact The Lodge office at (951) 325-8188. As Veteran's Day approaches, an important reminder is about the US f lag. Many residents proudly f ly them. We have spotted some f lags that are showing signs of being torn or frayed at the end. This reminder is focused on those f lags that need attention. Please lower your f lag and inspect it for rips and/or tears in the fabric. If it's ripped, frayed, or torn, please remove it from the f lagpole. Damaged f lags can be dropped off at The Lodge and one of our resident VFW members will collect them for proper disposal. Also, if your f lag remains on the pole, please make sure the light is working. This holiday season is going to be another really special time at The Lodge. Right after Thanksgiving, The Lodge, garden area gazebo, and the main entry will be decorated with LED lights. The Lodge Lobby as well as most of the rooms are always beautifully decorated, even the restrooms! This is what separates Four Seasons at Hemet from the neighboring communities, and all of you should be proud of that. This is a wonderful time for your friends and family to visit The Lodge! Each year, so many give of their time to transform The Lodge into a special place to be enjoyed by all. Thank you to all the holiday decorating volunteers! For those of you that are new owners, you'll be delighted at the transformation. If you feel up to volunteering, the Holiday Decorating Committee can always use your help. Let's take a moment to think about the things everyone should be thankful for: health, family, friends, neighbors and the wonderful community you live in. I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity to be of service to this awesome community for so many years! As I wind down my last two months here, I want you to know that without the hundreds of volunteers on the committees and staff "behind the scenes" and a Board that has been very supportive, this journey would not have been possible. I will be closing out my 25 years in community association management knowing I had a part in making Four Seasons the best community in the valley. P.S. Don't worry, Debby and I will still be here while our re-build continues! May you and your loved ones have a peaceful and blessed Thanksgiving holiday! As the holiday season approaches, it's important to remember the dangers of scams. According to the Federal Trade Commission, consumers reported losing over $10 billion to fraud in 2023, a record amount. So, to help identify and protect yourself from scams and fraud, here are a few helpful tips: 1. Slow Down: Scammers often create a sense of urgency, causing panic and rash decision making. Take a breath and resist the pressure to act quickly. 2. Be skeptical: Don't give your personal information to unexpected contacts. If you aren't sure the "agency" is real, contact them using a website and number you know is trustworthy. 3. Don't pay up: Honest agencies and businesses don't demand payment on the spot or via strange payment methods like gift cards. Again, avoid being rushed and verify. To report fraud, please visit https://www.justice.gov/criminal/ criminal-fraud/report-fraud or contact my liaison for senior issues, David Lara-Tellez at (951) 809-1257.
