| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | DECEMBER 2024 | 9 On Oct. 24, 23 local nonprofit community organizations were invited to the Sun Lakes Veranda to receive a share of the funds raised by the Sun Lakes Country Club Charitable Trust during the year. The Trust distributed approximately $62,000 to local organizations, adding to the over $2 million that they have donated since their inception in 1989. David Marshall Kealy opened the ceremony with a presentation to Joe Formino, a Founding Member of the Sun Lakes Charitable Trust. Formino, who turned 100 years old on Nov. 2, received a certificate from the city of Banning in recognition of his service to the community. Sun Lakes Charities Grants Awarded Joe Formino and David Kealy The Sun Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association Annual Meeting of the Membership and Election of Directors will be held on Thurs., April 10, 2025, at 9am, in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom (850 Country Club Drive, Banning, CA 92220). There will be two open positions on the Board of Directors. The newly elected directors will serve two-year terms. Any homeowner interested in running for the Board of Directors should fill out a Candidacy Form. The Candidacy Form will be available in the Administration Office beginning Wed., Dec. 18, 2024, and must be returned no later than 5pm on Fri., Jan. 24, 2025. The Inspectors of Election will review each Candidacy Form it receives and place all eligible candidates on the ballot. A "Meet the Candidates" forum will be conducted in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Members will be given the opportunity to ask candidates, running for the Board, questions. The Forum will be held on Wed., March 5, 2025, at 4pm. The Member of Record date is Wed., Feb. 12, 2025, and ballots will be mailed to each homeowner on Fri., March 7, 2025. Election information will be posted on the Sun Lakes website at www.sunlakescc. com and on the bulletin board in the Main Clubhouse adjacent to the receptionist desk. 2025 Sub Association Elections The sub-association elections will be conducted in March 2025. Fairway Villas Community Association – Tues., March 18, 2025 Lakeside II Community Association – Thurs., March 27, 2025 Lakeside Community Association – Fri., March 28, 2025 Candidacy forms will be available in the Administration Office beginning Wed., Dec. 18, 2024, for sub-association members interested in running for the Board.
