We were able to create lovely items while clearing out our craft overflow. Stop by to see a member-created hanging in our door window. Our regular meeting times are: • General Meeting - 3rd Wednesday of the month, 1 - 4 pm • Every Wednesday - Open Studio: Come and create as well as make new friends • Thursdays - Watercolor classes, Intermediate and Advanced, 8 am - 12 pm; Beginners, 1 - 4 pm • Every 3rd Friday - Art Gathering: Bring your art in progress and work in an open environment. Please do not bring anything that require fumes because we don't have fans. Come check us out! Arts & Crafts Guild Bunco Fun Bunch We're back — happy New Year, everyone! To start the New Year off in a fun way, Mary Jane Williams and Nancy Doss invite you to join our Bunco Fun Bunch. We get together every fourth Wednesday from 1 to 4 pm in Civic Hall. Bunco is a fast-paced and easy-to-learn game. If you can roll dice and move from chair to chair, then you can play. Mary Jane reviews the Bunco Rules at 1 pm before we start and there's always someone around to answer questions for the "newbies." We play three to four games during an afternoon. Gambling is not allowed, so we play for gift cards. For example, top winners may take home over $90 in various gift cards, and other players could win $70, $50, or $20 in gift cards, depending on the Bunco category won. We play in a large room on long tables (four players per table), so there's lots of room for our snacks and cups, and nothing interferes with our dice roll. We usually have at least 28 players, lots of snacks, and many winners. ALL SCCA residents (and their invited guests) may come. There are no membership dues, but we do ask for your name, phone number, email, and SCCA Activities Card (card has your photo on it). Player Requirements: 1. SCCA residents MUST show current SCCA White Activities ID Card at the sign-in table. Residents may bring guests, but they must sign-in at the same time you do. 2. Everyone brings a $10 gift card with the receipt attached (tape it on the card) and places it in the "Prize Pot" located at the sign-in table (gift cards may be for restaurants, retail stores, etc.). 3. Everyone brings their own drink and a snack to share with others — store-bought items are ok (no alcohol). Please take your snack's leftovers home with you. This month, our game will be on Wed., Jan. 22 at 1 pm in Civic Hall (26601 Cherry Hills Boulevard). Now, it's time to reserve your seat for our January game. We must know how many players to set-up for, so if you want to play, reserve your seat by calling Mary Jane (760-310-5956) or Nancy (714-895-5001) and give your name, phone number, and any guest names. Also, please call back if you need to cancel so we can fill your spot from our wait list. Doors open at 12:40 pm for sign-ins and gift card drop off. Then, just set-up your snack on the counter and find a table and chair. Players should be signed in and ready to play by 1 pm. (Doors close and no additional sign-ins are taken after 1 pm.) Come enjoy an afternoon of laughter and unpredictable game play with the Bunco Fun Bunch.
