60 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JANUARY 2025 | Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year! Our Hometown Rally is Feb. 1 and 2. We need volunteers to help run it either Saturday or Sunday, or both days if you'd like to help. It's going to be held at the North Clubhouse. More information is forthcoming. Our Club membership is from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30 of the following year. Membership dues are $25 for a couple/rig and $15 per single/ rig. At present, we have 20 members who have not renewed. Contact Sandi Fetterman to pay your dues. For those who have recently moved to Sun Lakes, own an RV, and would like to become a member, you can contact Leon Fiske at (909) 831-3809 or Bob Schive at (951) 990-2805 for information and an application. You can also come to our Home Town Rally in February to get a feel of what our group is like. We generally have two to four rallies a year with anywhere from 16 to 25 rigs participating. Looking into 2025, we have the following scheduled: March 23-30 the group is going to Fortuna Del Oro in Yuma. The campground has a lot of activities available, places to go see, and a number of members go down to Mexico for medicines, or items much cheaper than the USA. May 4-9 we'll be headed up to Wine Country RV Park in Paso Robles. This is another campground with a multitude of activities, and of course numerous wineries to go to and sample their products. July 29 will be our summer potluck. This is a social get together between trips. Sept. 28 to Oct. 3, the group is going to Jackson Rancheria, in Jackson, CA. The group was there several years ago and those that went still talk about how much fun they had. Usually there are several rigs that may plan an extended trip when going on one of our rallies, so there's always the opportunity to spend more time seeing the country.
