| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JANUARY 2025 | 9 The Sun Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association Annual Meeting of the Membership and Election of Directors will be held on Thurs., April 10, 2025, at 9 am, in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom (850 Country Club Drive, Banning, CA 92220). There will be two open positions on the Board of Directors. The newly elected directors will serve two-year terms. Any homeowner interested in running for the Board of Directors should fill out a Candidacy Form. The Candidacy Form are available in the Administration Office now and must be returned no later than 5 pm on Fri., Jan. 24, 2025. The Inspectors of Election will review each Candidacy Form it receives and place all eligible candidates on the ballot. A "Meet the Candidates" forum will be conducted in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Members will be given the opportunity to ask candidates, running for the Board, questions. The Forum will be held on Wed., March 5, 2025, at 4 pm. The Member of Record date is Wed., Feb. 12, 2025, and ballots will be mailed to each homeowner on Fri., March 7, 2025. Election information will be posted on the Sun Lakes website at www.sunlakescc. com and on the bulletin board in the Main Clubhouse adjacent to the receptionist desk. 2025 Sub Association Elections The sub-association elections will be conducted in March 2025. Fairway Villas Community Association – Tues., March 18, 2025 Lakeside II Community Association – Thurs., March 27, 2025 Lakeside Community Association – Fri., March 28, 2025 Candidacy forms are available in the Administration Office for sub- association members interested in running for the Board. Candidacy forms must be returned no later than 5 pm, on Fri., Jan. 17, 2025. Monthly Assessment Rates Increase Beginning Jan. 1, 2025 Sun Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association: $385 Lakeside Community Association: $204 Lakeside II Community Association: $195 Fairway Villas Community Association: $187 If you utilize Bill Pay through your bank, please be sure to update the amount of your assessment. If you utilize ClickPay, please be sure to increase your payment to the new assessment amount, if you are not set up for it to increase automatically. 2025 Annual Meeting of the Membership & Election of Directors Greetings and Happy New Year. As your county supervisor, providing services to seniors in need has been a major priority. By 2030, older adults are expected to make up one-quarter of California's population, increasing the demand to invest in senior- focused services. I'd like to bring three key findings in our county to your attention: • 531,000 older adults are ages 60+. • 90,628 older adults are eligible for both Medicare and Medi-Cal. • 30 percent of adults ages 65+ don't have enough income to meet their basic needs.
