We're planning a day this month on learning some quilting tips and tricks and will be teaching some free motion designs. Come join us — we're a fun group. Quilters Art League The Art League wishes everyone a healthy, happy, peaceful 2025! May you enjoy everything you've wished for in the coming year. We were dark in December, but November was an eventful month. Our guest artist was award winning oil painter Luz Perez. Those who attended her classes had a wonderful time painting different subjects and ending with a charming red birdhouse in the snow. At our Nov. 10 meeting we elected the new Board for 2025 (at left): President – Betsy Voss; First Vice-President – Shirley Anderson; Second Vice-President – Pattie Rogers; Secretary – Carol Graham; and Treasurer – Judy Grant. Congratulations! We look forward to an exciting and busy year ahead. November also had many entries in our Mini Art Show with the winners as follows (at right): First Place - Keta Voll who presented an Angel Baby done in pencil. Second Place – Linda Flannelly's abstract collage which reminded all of autumn. Third Place – Shirley Anderson with a Blue Wave done using acrylic pour paint. Congratulations to our winners and all entrants. Meetings resume Jan. 12 at 2 pm in the South Clubhouse. Everyone, from beginner to advanced, is welcome and encouraged to attend. Our class offerings of three consecutive Monday mornings are a real bargain at $30 for members and $35 for non-members. We invite you to join us on the 12th as we present talented artist, Suni Godbold, who will be demonstrating her talent and technique in acrylic pour painting. She will then hold classes on Jan. 13, 20, and 27 in the Main Clubhouse Arts & Crafts Room.
