34 | OHCC LIVING | FEBRUARY 2025 | Inspiration Hill As we walk the trail at Inspiration Hill, we are always impressed by the varied community inspirations as expressed on the Donor Bricks. The trail begins by honoring our pioneer OHCC Founders, and continues with those who so bravely served us. There are bricks honoring family members, beloved pets, and favorite universities. What is your inspiration? The HOA continues to take orders for your own personalized bricks. Fill out an order form at the HOA office, and include a check for $75. Your inspiration brick will help line the trail to the top of the hill! Music Lovers Hello all you Music Lovers! Thanks to all of you who came out on Do Dues Day last month to join our club. What a great event for all of us. So many great clubs, so little time. A club can only be as good as its members, and we have some of the best in our community! And for anyone who missed the club-a-thon, there's still time to drop off a check ($10) attached to a complete membership form at the front desk. This month we have a lot to celebrate. February is when we embrace the gifts of love and romance (Valentines Day) and also celebrate two of our country's greatest leaders (Washington and Lincoln). And we have two events perfect for the occasion. The Villagers Band will be in Abravanel Hall on Feb. 8 this month ready to perform for all of you. Our theme is Valentine's Day, and the band will perform plenty of romantic tunes to keep the mood LOVEly! We're also planning our first major guest performer event of the year on Feb. 19 in Abravanel Hall. At this writing, plans are still in the works but we'll be keeping everyone posted once we finalize the booking. You can always start your week off with Coffee House Monday entertainment. Each Monday at 9:30 am, one of our club's solo or duo performers will entertain our audience in bistro style and comfort, as they enjoy coffee and treats by the graceful waterfall. We're excited about everything we're planning for our members and our community this year and we don't want anyone to miss a single musical moment. You can find out more about our MLC events by: checking out the digital board heading toward the Gallery wing, by picking up a weekly printed guide to all the happenings at the Clubhouse (flyer rack), by reading our monthly article in the OHCC Living Magazine, (hey, you're doing that right now!), or by becoming a member of our great club so you get a monthly reminder email of all scheduled events. Things coming up this year: more Villagers concerts, Coffee House Monday soirees, Karaoke Nights, guest musical performances, club parties and dinners, and our second annual Musical Variety Show in September. We'll be on the lookout for you! And let us not forget to recognize our members' birthdays this month. Happy B-Day greetings go out to Chris Butler, Sura Katz, Elaine Massei, and Drora Oren, Lastly, here are some great events coming up in San Diego this year. They may not all be about the music, but this is the most comprehensive list of things to do in our great San Diego community that I've ever seen! https://sdtoday.6amcity.com/events/big-events- festivals-san-diego-ca-2025.
