We're excited to welcome our members for the first Taste d'Vine Wine Club meeting of 2025 on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 6 pm. The Ballroom is currently under renovation and will reopen just in time for our gathering, with doors opening at 5:15 pm. As always, please bring: • Two glasses • One bottle of wine (your choice) • Something to share with your table (snacks or a dish to complement the wines) We'll be exploring a wonderful selection of wines — hopefully, you'll discover a new favorite to add to your collection! We can't wait to see you there and kick off the year in great company. ~ Tom DePaola, tomdepaola@roadrunner.com 40 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2025 Our January Cars & Coffee meeting was great! Beautiful weather and great conversation along with hot coffee and donuts. I received a great email from one of our members that I would like to share with you. It is from Dr. Jerry Turner who owns the beautiful 1997 Rolls Royce "Silver Spur" you may have seen cruising Four Seasons. "Frank, I thought I would share my experience with my rst Cars & Coee meeting. I will admit, I was hesitant about going. Even though the President of the club assured me I' d be welcomed with open arms, I almost didn't make it. "I'm not a 'gear head' and don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of pistons, transmissions, or the ability of whisper to an engine. I was convinced that someone would corner me and ask my opinion on spark plug lters or the ner workings of an oil ux capacitor, but my curiosity won out. "I took the long way around Four Seasons Circle, gathering the courage. Eventually, I pulled in. I was one of the last cars to arrive. I parked toward the far end of a row, trying to blend in. "at's when I heard 'Jerry, park here!' It was the Club President, waving me over to park in a prime spot by the coee station — smack dab in the middle of the action. Nervously, I pulled in, trying not to overthink my parking job. "I totally missed the target and took up two spaces. As I opened the door to get out, I over heard someone say, 'Wow! How clean.' "'Glad you could make it,' said the club president with a warm smile and a hand shake. at simple greeting opened a series of friendly conversations and welcome remarks. It didn't take long to realize that this wasn't a gathering of chrome-chasing fanatics waiting to quiz me on turbo alignment valves. ese people saw cars as rolling works of art. ey welcome everyone, from lifelong car nuts to folks like me, who mostly just know how to start a car. "ese are not just car enthusiasts. ey were caretakers of history, celebrating the beauty and crasmanship of these vehicles. It wasn't about how much you knew or what you drove; it was about sharing a passion. Whether you have a classic vehicle or just a love for looking at them, this group makes you feel at home. "So, if you've been looking for an excuse to get out of the house, grab a cup of coee and take in some automotive artistry, I highly recommend stopping by the Cars & Coee meeting, the rst Saturday of every month. Trust me, you' ll feel like you've found your people, even if you can't tell a carburetor from a coee grinder. I am looking forward to many more gatherings." What a great email! As Jerry mentioned, we meet every first Saturday of each and every month our next meeting will be Feb. 1 at 9 am in The Lodge parking lot. Hope to see you there! ~ Frank Morales Cars & Coffee Taste d'Vine Just kickin' back Beaumont Veterans Parade line up Veterans Day Car Show Best of Show
