FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2025 7 Happy February! The facilities are almost revamped. We did however, find out that the Ballroom carpet vendors are going to extend their time for laying the carpet until Thursday, Feb. 6, which means another week of club inconvenience for those of you who usually meet in the Ballroom. We apologize for having to extend the time but we anticipate that the outcome in the end will all be worth it. There will be one day that the Ballroom will be open before the final carpet project, and that will be Saturday, Feb. 1 for the Fitness Expo from 10 am to 12 pm. If you're interested in checking out some fitness classes for your resolution goals, come on down and watch the various class demonstrations to determine which ones are best for you. The Expo is open to all residents and there is no fee to attend. On Saturday, Feb. 8, there is a unique and interesting event for Black History Month. AACC is presenting "Black Cowboys." I'll leave you to f lip to the AACC article on page 47 explaining all of the details. I'm looking forward to a lot of fun and learning some fascinating history at the same time! Sunday, Feb. 9 in the Ballroom, Dave Rohrbacker is hosting a community Super Bowl Party, time TBD. Bring a dish to share, your favorite beverages, and wear your team's jersey. Monday, Feb. 10, is the last day to purchase your Four Seasons 20th Anniversary T-Shirts. What a steal for only $15 each! I'm getting one in both black and white, because I can wear them to all of the celebration events throughout the year. Be sure to get yours now at The Lodge front desk. We imagine that the ordered shirts will be delivered to us by March 10 and you will be called to pick yours up when they arrive. Thank you Paul and Laura for requesting that we have a "Senior Prom" for Valentine's Day, because that's exactly what we're going to do! The date is Friday, Feb. 14 at 6 pm in the Ballroom with the doors opening at 5:30 pm. There will be the popular dance band, American Made, along with a photo booth and a delicious Bistro Sweetheart Dinner offering (more info to come). Don't forget to ask your sweetheart to go to the Prom with you. Boutonnieres and corsages are encouraged. If you're single like me, don't let that discourage you — dress up, bring your favorite beverages, and come enjoy the Senior Prom with us — we can all dance together! Be sure to pick up your free ticket at the front desk after Feb. 1. Finally, I want to mention a little bit about our February event for the 20th Anniversary Celebration; it's called "History and Humor Night" on Friday, Feb. 28. This is a historical overview of how our Four Seasons community developed along with some funny stories, music, pictures, and refreshments. There is no cost to attend; doors open with table seating at 5:30 pm, and the program starts at 6 pm. Everyone is welcome! ~ Cindy Graves Activities Director's Report
