Golf Cart Club: A quiet time
regarding any Golf Cart Club
activities. No golf cart parades until
the July 4th event. It seems like a
long time down the road, but it will
be here before you know it!
Flag Angels: However, the
Flag Angels have been busy; they put up ags throughout the
community for Martin Luther King (MLK) on Jan. 20. His birthday
is Jan. 15, but it is observed on the following Monday. Flags will
go up throughout the community for Presidents Day on Feb. 17.
Brice and Denise Sunderland have volunteered to participate in
the Flag Angel program as substitutes and went right to work on
MLK Day. Welcome and thank you!
A couple of months ago, I promised that I would highlight each
of the "Flag Angels" in the Herald over the next few months. is
month, Mary and Glenn Uhley are featured in this issue of the
Herald. Glenn and Mary have been placing ags for over four
years. ey moved from Quartz, north of Los Angeles, seven years
ago. eir route covers the Stephenson and Lopez Circle areas.
Glenn is the ag angel that does the penciling of the ags and
designed a pvc insert for ag placement on articial/hardscaped
lawns. If you know or recognize these Angels, give them a well-
deserved "thank you" the next time you see them.
e Flag Angels ranks are constantly changing. We have lost
a number of angels due to assorted reasons. I have been able to
replace those angels but many of the substitutes were "used up" in
this process. If anyone is interested in being a Flag Angel, I could
still use a volunteer or two as substitutes. If you would be willing
to help provide this very popular service, please call me (951) 973-
4149, or email me at mikemcla43@aol.com. ~ Mike McLaughlin,
