| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | FEBRUARY 2025 | 27 WE ARE DARK UNTIL MARCH 22 e Four Seasons Players went dark aer our performance of the Savannah Sipping Society on Oct. 19, the last of our three plays in 2024, one of the greatest years in our history. We expect 2025 to be an even better year, with a new play on March 22, June 15, and Oct. 18 at 7 pm. Two comedies have been selected, Let's Murder Marsha and Drinking Habits. e third will be announced soon. We remain dark until showtime. But there is much activity in the months preceding each play. e Director recruits actors, secures and distributes the script to actors, plans the stage setup with the Stage Manager, plans sound eects with our Sound Designer/Composer, and intensively rehearses the play with the actors multiple times. Meanwhile, a playbill, a ticket, a poster, and an ad are completed for each play. e format for these are already developed and examples are available. We invite you to join our team to complete these for one or more of our 2025 plays. It doesn't take much time and it's easy to do. If you haven't done this before, we can explain how to do this. We just need your creativity. In the days before the curtain drops, the stage is put up, props are taken out of storage or new ones that have been obtained are put in their place. Chairs are set up by sta. Sound and light equipment is taken out of storage, set up and tested. e actors decide on their costumes. All of this is then put to the test in a nal dress rehearsal. Believe it or not, while these preparations can be stressful at times, mostly, it's fun. Actors and others make new friends or develop deeper friendships with others. If you have participated in community theater or even if you haven't, these plays are a great opportunity to learn new skills, have fun, make new friends, and entertain our community.
