| OHCC LIVING | MARCH 2025 | 31 March 15 is our next Bingo date. Our theme is what else – St. Patrick's Day. Show your Irish, wear green, get crazy, have fun with the theme of the month. Maybe you can win some extra "green" of your own for the best representation of the theme. ere will be three cash prize winners. Doors open at 6:15 pm, and the rst number called will be at 6:45 pm. Don't be late, the more players, the larger the jackpots. We have two wonderful sponsors for March. Zoraya De La Bastida and Patti Smith. Both ladies have been sponsors in the past. Both live and work as Real Estate Agents in our community. We are very lucky to have them as sponsors again this year. ank you so much for all your support. Today is Feb. 1, and you will not be reading this until March 1 because as many readers of OHCC Living know, our articles were written about a month prior to it being published. I feel I must apologize for the SNAFU in January. Bingo had a record number, almost 250 players were in attendance. I felt every one of your 500 eyes on us that evening. A constellation of issues all seemed to converge at one time. Excel, which we use to show the ashboard was not functioning, the internet connection did not work, the presentation system that allows us to project on the screen would not interface with the computer. Many players tried to help. Finally, we were able to at least get the Flashboard on the screen but that was the best I could do. Stickie Notes are what saved the evening. Stickie Notes on a screen. Bingo players, you deserve better. Although Bingo does not have membership dues as other clubs do, you are still a member when you play. Bingo averages 200 players each month we play. at is larger than most clubs at OHCC. I have been trying for over a year to get new equipment, without success, so far. I appreciate all the wonderful things you said that evening. How we made it work, even with all the issues, you had a fun evening. at playing Bingo is a highlight for you and one of the few activities you can still do. I hear you. I think you deserve equipment that will work every time, not equipment that is 25 years old. We cross our ngers every time we turn it on and hope it will last another month or two. Obtaining new equipment is now out of my hands. I have done everything I can. We are trying very hard to keep the existing equipment working. If January was your rst time at Bingo, please come back and give us another chance. No matter what happens, you are a winner when you walk through the door.
