Finally, It's March again! March is the month of the wearing of green, corned beef and cabbage, and of course, Leprechauns. Since early childhood, we were told the wonderful stories of fairy-like creatures who spent their time hiding away their gold coins in hidden pots of at the ends of rainbows. Stories of these mischievous little men, dressed in green and measuring only three feet tall have entertained and brought laughter to us all during our otherwise ordinary days in March. ose of you who are new to OHCC may not be aware that we are privileged to have our very own Leprechaun, Fergus O'Leary, better known as "Fergie." He took up residence in our library during Covid. You can usually nd him hidden among the books especially historical ction, his favorite genre, or sleeping in the drawers under paper clips and post-its. He always makes his appearance during the month of March. Several have already reported seeing him sitting by the replace late at night reading Irish Fairy Tales and Legends or singing a verse from "Danny Boy." You can imagine his excitement when he heard about our Aernoon with Authors series here at OHCC. e next presenter with the Aernoons with Authors series will be Jac Jemc on Sun., April 27 at 1 pm in Abravanel Hall.
