4 | OHCC LIVING | MARCH 2025 | Continued from previous page our needs changed. We will continue to evaluate enhancements to the structure which will better accommodate its users. You may recall that the Board approved the purchase of a used storage trailer for the SERT club to store emergency supplies and readiness equipment. Up to $13,000 was authorized to acquire the trailer and adapt it to SERT's use. We are pleased to say that rst, SERT was able to purchase a brand-new trailer instead of a used one, and second, it has now been completely outtted. Rather than $13,000, their good work completed the task for under $12,000. More good community service from the SERT Club! e Board met in Executive Session last Jan. 13 and took the following actions: • Approved the Minutes of the meeting on Dec. 16 • Levied two nes of $75 each for failing to stop at a stop sign • Reviewed four delinquencies • Approved refurbishment of the Guard House at a cost not to exceed $10,000 • Reviewed a proposal from Pacic West Painting to repair and paint exterior walls at a cost of $84,000 • Discussed several legal matters. e Board met again in Executive Session Jan.28 and took the following actions: • Discussed several legal matters • Accepted the proposal of Ground Force Crew to serve as General Contractor on the well and lake project • Authorized the General Manager to engage any of the bidders on the fuel abatement project. e Board met Feb. 5 in special session to consider the 2025- 2026 Budget and other matters and took the following actions: • Adopted the budget proposed by the Budget and Financial Advisory Committee for the scal year April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026 • Accepted the reserve study recommendations of Barrera and Company • Adopted the other recommendation of the Committee • Authorized the execution of a Storm Water Facilities Management Agreement with the City of Oceanside • Appointed the Ad Hoc Committee on Electronic Infrastructure In March, notice will be given to every Member calling for candidates for the four terms on the Board of Directors which will be expiring. e terms of Allen Wilson, Lois Russell, Mariann Michaels and my own term will end with the Annual Meeting in August. It doesn't operate on autopilot; it takes the active contribution of talented volunteers. ank you for your interest in the aairs of your Association.
