| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | APRIL 2025 | 71 Duh! Doesn't everyone know how to enrich uranium? Why would you need a workshop for that? Victoria S. Going to AREA 51 is not on my radar! Getting away quickly, you'd need a FAST car - I love my new husband, it's real and it's true but I do not want to associate with those whose skin is BLUE! Gayle M. It would be wonderful if Kevin, Bleep$oop, their daughter, and the whole family could come visit Sun Lakes. Victor V. Sounds like a ver-r-r-y romantic honeymoon trip! Emily P. I've been to Roswell, New Mexico very interesting articles and things in their museum. Would love to explore area 51. Jamie T. your comments: GET THE JOKE! Last month's joke: Now back to the Get the Joke stuff: To win a free dinner, find the ad, article or just weird, out-of-place, completely made-up (and hopefully funny) item in this month's Lifestyles. When you find it, fill out the box and email it to sunlakesnews@yahoo.com before noon on the sixth of the month (or drop it off in the Main Clubhouse). If you are the first correct guess chosen at random, you will win a free dinner. Congratulations to this month's Dinner Winner: JOE KRAMARSKI Please call Monica in the Admin. Oce for your Sun Lakes Restaurant dinner. From Courtney, the publisher: My husband Tim and I get our two oldest grandsons (Caleb, 9, and Aiden, 7) one weekend a month and we try to make it memorable. Sometimes we go on adventures, sometimes I tell them that pulling weeds is fun. The last time they came over I surprised them with a ride on the Palm Springs Tram. I've lived here nearly my whole life and I've never been there. It's less than an hour from the Pass and well worth the visit. The tram takes 10 minutes to ascend to 8,516 feet. At the top there are two restaurants and picnic tables. There are 50 miles of hiking trails on the mountain. We did a simple loop that was mostly flat. There was snow on the ground but it wasn't very cold. I imagine it would be lovely in the summer. After the tram, we headed to the county fair in Indio. I tried not to think of the videos where people are trapped upside down on rides for hours at county fairs. Aiden was too short for some rides so I went with Caleb when Aiden couldn't. Caleb picked the second ride we went on. As we were sitting in the chair waiting to start, I said, "Hey - we don't know what this one does. Maybe we should watch it first." He replied, "Nah. It'll be fine." I turned my head to look at the joints of the ride and make sure things were connected. It started and we went up this way, then that way, all the while spinning violently, then higher this way, and higher that way until we were vertical and upside down. I closed my eyes and concentrated on keeping my sunglasses on my face. I didn't hear anything from Caleb and couldn't see him through the safety harness. When we finally spun to a stop, he said, "I didn't like that at all." THANK GOD. I'm positive that was the last time I'm voluntarily upside down ever again. The next day we took them to Glo Mini Golf near Sam's Club. "It was a lot this weekend," I remarked as we drove home to open Aiden's birthday presents and eat cake. "You might think we're softening you guys up for bad news, like 'We're moving to Belgium.'" Caleb asked, "Are you moving?" I said, "No, but that was a lot." Everyone agreed. Next time, we're pulling weeds. I found the joke! Resident name (first & last):_________________________________ This was the joke: ________________________________________ Comments (we LOVE your notes - about anything!): _______________ _____________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________ Send entries to sunlakesnews@yahoo.com or drop it at the Main Clubhouse the first correct guess chosen at random, you will win a free dinner. Karen added, "Don't forget the room service and the spa!" ey plan on returning in late spring to witness the hatching of the Mrang^txx eggs and enjoy the Lipid Fair, inspired by the annual blooming of the giant lipid bushes.
