| SUN CITY CORE COURIER | APRIL 2025 | 11 Bunco Fun Bunch ROLLIN WITH OUR PEEPS IN APRIL. If you are not playing Bunco yet, then you are missing out on a great time with a really fun group of people. All SCCA residents and their guests are welcome to play. Newbies too. Bunco is fast-paced, but very easy-to-learn. If you can roll dice and move from chair to chair, then you can play. Bunco is played on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 1 pm in Civic Hall (26601 Cherry Hills Blvd.). There are no membership fees, but players donate a $10 gift card to play. This month, we play Wed., April 23. As mentioned, we do not play for cash but for gift cards (GCs) that are donated by each player. Winners may take home a handful or two of various GCs, depending on how many people play and which Bunco category is won. Civic Hall's large room accommodates the tables we play on (four players per table). There is lots of room for our "snacks and cups" and nothing interferes with the roll of the dice. We always have lots of snacks and many winners. It's a fun time for all. Player Requirements: SCCA residents sign-in at the door and show current SCCA white activities ID card (it has your photo on it). Resident may bring guests, but guests must sign-in at the same time resident does. Everyone brings a $10 GC with receipt attached (taped to card) and places it in the "Prize Pot." (GCs may be for restaurants, fast food, retail stores, etc.). Everyone brings their own drink and a snack to share with others (no alcohol). Please take leftovers home with you. SCCA residents may bring guest(s), but the resident and guest(s) must sign-in together at the door (the resident is responsible for all guests they bring). RESERVATIONS REQUIRED - We need to know how many players to set-up for, so please reserve your seat by calling Mary Jane at 760-310-5956 or Nancy at 714-895-5001 or emailing Debbie at suncitydebg52@aol.com. Regular monthly players who give Deb their email receives a game day email reminder a few days before the game). Please reserve your seat at least two days before game day. Be sure to leave your name, phone number, SCCA number, and your guest's name and phone number). Important: If you need to cancel, please call us ASAP so we can add someone from the wait list. BUNCO SCHEDULE: 12:40-1 pm: Sign-Ins & Collection of GCs; 1 pm: Doors Close - Rules Review; 1:05 pm: Game starts. After signing-in, please set-up your snack on the counter and find a table and chair.
