12 | SUN CITY CORE COURIER | APRIL 2025 | We have been very busy with new members and donation recipients. Our Valentine's Day raffle was won by our own Debbie Pucciarelli who also works in the Medicare insurance field. Our Military Liaison Susan V. has taken 54 items to MilVet and has 75 items to take to the Wounded Warrior Project. Lorna, our Club President, has been picking up and delivering many items to a homeless facility for battered and abused women and children and many more. She is a great asset to our club in so many ways. We had our Valentine's Party on Feb. 11 and celebrated two birthdays with cake and games enjoyed by everyone. We look forward to each week that we can get together and have more stories, donations, and collaboration on making things that our ladies are so great at. So far this year, we have donated over 277 items! Yarn and funds to buy more yarn are always welcome. Knitters & Crocheters Sun City Art & Cras Guild Activities Picking Up At our February meeting, we created "Bardo's Adorables." These delightful wooden birds were created by Bardo Galloro who cut out each bird, with attachments, for our members. We glued and nailed them together and then added our own paint, beads, or embellishments to create our unique birds. The Art Room is open every Wednesday, from 1 to 3:45 pm for members to spread out and create as well as visit with other artists. Our general meetings are on the third Wednesday of each month from 1 to 3:30 pm. Kathy Pickett teaches Watercolor classes each Thursday from 9 am to 12 pm and 1 to 4 pm. We have Art Gatherings the third Friday, from 12:30 to 4 pm and all mediums are welcome — but no solvents please. The Art & Crafts Guild is dark from June to September for meetings, but we are open for Wednesday General Meetups, Thursday classes, and Friday Art Gatherings. We hope you can join us for these activities. Arts & Crafts Guild
