about T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) and the Rise of Arab
Nationalism aer World War I, presented by Michael Ryan.
It's 1921. The world is taking a pause between the "Great War"
and the even greater one called WWII. The Middle East is about
to endure the last great colonialization. England, along with
France and the USA, have defeated the Ottoman Empire along
with Germany. During the fray the United Kingdom set in motion
three cross purpose declarations causing seismic tensions that still
rumble through the Middle East today.
As often the case throughout history, major world occurrences
are placed in motion by the efforts of a few unique people thrown
into the path of a major earth-altering paradigm shift. Thus, we
have the quixotic T.E. Lawrence and the resolute Winston Churchill
joining forces to create order within the chaotic post-war Middle
East.
Sub-plot: Are the Palestinians descendants of 4,000-year-old
Canaanite's or the birth child of the 1921 Cairo Conference?
