8 | LIFE IN SOLERA | APRIL 2025 | CINDY BICE: I'd like to take this opportunity to send greetings to all the residents of our community. I'm a longtime resident of the Inland Empire and have lived in Solera for over a decade. It has been an honor to serve as your current President of the Board of Directors of Solera Oak Valley Greens. With a farseeing approach, the Board of Directors have been able to work with our management staff in controlling costs in these challenging times of rising prices. I am familiar with the issues that this community has faced in the past, and have a comprehensive knowledge of the CCR's, Bylaws, and Community Rules. I have handled significant issues in a proactive approach. The exterior painting of the clubhouse, the Bridges Road slope, on-line membership surveys, and more cameras throughout the community. I strive to keep Solera a desirable 55+ active community. I have always looked forward to meeting with as many residences as possible, and learn what issues they are most concerned with. By participating in many community activities, this enables me to get their input in person, or by email. I consider your input extremely valuable because we have some innovative members in our community. I volunteer my time and efforts to apply our successful logistics and continue the great thing we have going on in this community, no matter how challenging the issue. I will continue to work hard for the 2,000+ community members of Solera. I sincerely and humbly ask your vote. BUD CHARLICK: My name is Bud Charlick. Judy and I have lived in Solera for 19 years. I am running for the Solera Board of Directors for 2025-2027. Why would I run for the Solera Board of Directors? Because I have experience on this Board from several years ago and another Board when we lived in San Jose. A Board Member basically has two duties: 1- They are fiscally responsible for the operation of the Solera Homeowners Association. 2- They are responsible to the members of the community to make sure that they are being fairly represented. By your voting for a member of the Solera Board of Directors, it is important to vote for someone who has Board experience. My experience here in Solera is that I have served on Solera's Board of Directors in 2010-2012 and was the President of the Board in 2011-2012. I have been a member of every committee except RAAC and Finance. I am currently a member of the Common Area Landscape Committee. One day a week I volunteer at the San Gorgonio Hospital in Banning, as I have done for the last 14 years. I believe in helping people and of giving back to the community. I am a member of the Sunshine Committee and have organized our annual 4th of July parade as I have done for the past several years. I am a Veteran, I am hard working, honest and of good character. Anyone who has lived here in Solera who knows me can vouch for me. Remember: Vote for the candidate who has your best interests in mind, not their own. Board of Director Candidates Statements
