10 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MAY 2025 | Name: ____________________________________________________________________________________ Address:___________________________________________________________________________________ Phone: ____________________________________________________________________________________ FREE SUNDAY BRUNCH FOR TWO AT THE BISTRO Not valid on holidays or special events. Limit ONE ENTRY per residence per month Sun., May 11 is Mother's Day, the day we celebrate and honor the dear woman that gave us life and years of loving care. Little did she know how often her patience would be worn thin or how often she would worry about managing our safety and health. Moms are so worthy of a day set aside for them, they have truly earned it. That being said, Francisco will be preparing his special Mother's Day Brunch on Sun., May 11 as well. He will add some extra food items to the regular buffet plus tablecloths and napkins on the tables. Make reservations and pay for your meals for your group in advance. We also celebrate Memorial Day on the last Monday of May each year as we honor those men and women who have given their life to maintain our lifestyle, freedom and safety. We have a super group of Veterans and their helpers at Four Seasons that do a fantastic job putting on a program every year honoring all Veterans and all branches of service to our country. Please mark it on your calendar and don't miss it, you will be so happy you participated in this patriotic celebration for those Veterans. The lucky "Free Brunch for Two" ticket had Aladar Barath's name on it. His ticket was pulled by Betty Crase, the head boss of our wonderful Library and it's committee that makes sure those books and puzzles are returned to their correct spots on the shelves and ready for the next reader to pick up and enjoy. At this time I wish to thank you for reading The Bistro articles, especially those that have mentioned to me that they enjoyed them. It's been a fun experience I won't forget. I am stepping down as chair of the Bistro Committee and your new Chairperson is Sandy (Pita) Garces. I'm sure you will enjoy her very "perky energy" and easy to speak to attitude as she heads this hard working Bistro Committee that faces the on-going challenges of the Bistro, as well as all the catering events as they arrive. My appreciative kudos goes out to them and all the volunteers that keep Four Seasons moving forward! That's me, Patt double "T" In November of last year, the Board of Directors approved the formation of a new "Capital Improvements Committee" (CIC) which now meets monthly on the third Thursday at 9 am in the Conference Room. The purpose of the committee is to develop, update and implement, a Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) consisting of both short- and long-term NEW Capital Improvement Projects. It is anticipated that the CIP will be updated annually and incorporated as part of the annual budget approval process. The CIC is to serve as a community planning committee charged with evaluating new capital projects with an eye toward the future. The projects are necessary to improve our quality-of-life, ensure the community remains updated and viable in the future, protect our property values, and help address changing resident needs. Now that our community is 20+ years old, it's important that we not only continue to ensure our current facilities are repaired and replaced as needed by the Facilities Committee but also plan for new capital projects to keep our community vibrant, relevant and marketable for future new home buyers. That way, everyone benefits. But the CIP cannot be developed effectively without input from the community. That's why one of the first work items for the CIC is to develop an Input and Communications Plan to ensure that we provide ample opportunities for everyone who chooses, to get involved and help shape the plan. We anticipate conducting community workshop meetings, surveys and focus groups, while also engaging with other HOA Committees and Clubs to ensure that we get the best possible outcome for our community in a financially responsible manner. We're just getting started so please stay tuned! ~ Lyle Haynes, Chair, Capital Improvements Committee Bistro Committee Capital Improvements Committee
