| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MAY 2025 | 55 As an update to our Men's Team Play, we won the first match against La Quinta Country Club. Our second match was against last year's champion, Red Hill Country Club. We beat them also! We made it to the Elite 8, but lost our third match against Bear Valley Country Club. A special thanks to the Team that made it happen this year: Bob Blair, Randy Haydis, Joe Ganino, Ron Smith, Brian Tucker, Doug Jensen, Dale Bowring, Rod Kemp, Moe Jamshidi, Jim Panzino, Rick Dalton, Jim Tickemyer, John Mursa, Ian Platt, Mike Long, Gary Heading, Larry Rice, Darren Perrine, Jeff Raneri, Dan Singleton, and Tony Browne. Thanks for all of the support from Sun Lakes Country Club. Every one of these guys contributed to the success of our team this year. Plus a big thanks to the Pro Shop for all their help. And lastly, great thanks to Tony Browne, our Captain. He does a great job! Join us at the Champion Course every Wednesday for Men's Day! All tournaments for the Men's Club will start at 8 am, Shotgun. The tournament schedule for May 2025 is as follows: All tournaments start at 8 am. Wed., May 7: May quarterly (Individual stroke 2nd leg of eclectic). Sat., May 24: TBD Our first Beef and Beer event of the year was a great success! Thank you to all the folks who participated. Special thanks to the ladies for all of their help. The club membership dues ($40) will be collected via personal check, along with the membership application and placed into the Men's Club Box located in the Pro Shop. The fees for the SCGA will be $41 for 2025. This can be done at the Pro Shop. We have a great team in the Pro Shop. If you have questions or need assistance with your game, this is a great place to seek help! Men's Golf Executive Men's Golf The Executive is an 18-hole course with six challenging par fours and lots of water holes. We have a tournament on the fourth Friday of the month which includes closest to pin and circle hole contests. The yearly dues for the club are $30. Membership is open to all Sun Lakes male residents, and all levels of golfers are welcome. Membership forms are available in the North Clubhouse Pro Shop or on the EMGC website.
